Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Fishing Report Agent (fishingreportagent.com) collects, why, and what happens to it. It's written to be read, not skimmed.

What we collect

• Your email address — to create and identify your account.
• Usage counts — your service and API usage, so we can apply quotas and keep the service healthy.
• Report request parameters — what you asked for, including coordinates or locations. For a fishing service, the location is the request. That means your fishing spots are part of what you send us.

We do not collect payment details, and we do not build advertising profiles.

How we use it

To generate your reports, apply rate limits, and operate the service. We don't sell your data.

Report retention and staleness

Reports are kept while your account is active, and are eligible for deletion on a retention schedule. A report older than one day is stamped stale and should not be relied on as current.

Deleting your account

When you ask us to close your account, we delete your reports from our store and stop serving them.

Third-party data sources

Reports are built from third-party public data sources — including NOAA and the National Weather Service, and other marine and tide data providers as applicable. Your request parameters (such as location) are sent to those services as necessary to retrieve the data you asked for. Those services have their own privacy practices.

Cookies and sessions

We use bearer tokens for authentication, not cookies. We don't set tracking cookies.

Email

Outbound email is sent through Cloudflare. Inbound mail to this domain is handled by email routing outside the application.

MCP and AI agents

You may access this service through Model Context Protocol (MCP) or AI agent tooling. Data is sent via MCP, and AI clients may retain the content you send or receive as part of their own processing. We don't control retention on the client side.

Analytics

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Changes

If this policy changes, the version date at the top is updated and the change is posted here.
